Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Transcarent
As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Transcarent, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to projects that directly impact the business and align with Transcarent's mission of delivering better health and care solutions. This role offers invaluable exposure to the complete engineering lifecycle, from initial sprint planning through to shipping production code.
What You’ll Do
- Work on Wayfinding projects that impact the business and contribute to Transcarent’s mission of better health and care
- You'll gain exposure to how a real engineering team works, from sprint planning to shipping code
- You’ll be exposed to experienced engineers from all backgrounds (web development, mobile, API, Salesforce, etc.)
- You'll have a formal mentor on your team guiding you throughout your internship period
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineering, including concepts like tool-use, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and structured outputs
- Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph, including building agentic workflows, tool calling pipelines, and multi-step orchestration patterns.
- Experience working with ML evaluation methods, such as benchmarking, automated testing, rubric-based grading, or model performance analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across engineering, product, and research teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience with tools like LangChain, Langsmith, and Snowflake.
- Coursework or project work involving building agents with RAG capabilities.
- Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows.
