The Sales Development Representative Role

Are you ready to be a key part of our exciting growth journey? As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in expanding Traild's reach by identifying and engaging with potential clients in the US and Canada. This position is ideal for a proactive individual eager to drive initial conversations and contribute directly to our sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential leads and target accounts.
  • Proactively reach out to prospects through various channels, including email, phone, and social media, to initiate conversations with direct and partner prospects.
  • Promptly follow up on all inbound leads and inquiries.
  • Qualify leads effectively based on predefined criteria and seamlessly transition them to the sales team.
  • Build strong relationships with prospects and educate them on the significant value of Traild's products.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop innovative lead generation strategies.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team.
  • Work with the sales team to schedule prospect calls, meetings, and product demos.
  • Consistently exceed monthly quotas for qualified appointments and demos scheduled.
  • Maintain and regularly update the CRM system with accurate lead and prospect information.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on lead generation activities and their outcomes.
  • Commit to continuous learning and stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with working hours, including participating in "call jacking" sessions and attending meetings that may occur outside of standard working hours, especially during the onboarding phase.

What You'll Bring to Traild

  • 2+ years of dedicated sales experience in an SDR/BDR capacity.
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales; experience with ERP, FinTech, or Accounts Payable solutions is a significant advantage.
  • Proven prowess in cold calling, prospecting, and establishing genuine human connections with potential customers.
  • The ability to thrive and excel in a fast-paced startup/scale-up environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in carrying and consistently exceeding KPIs and targets.
  • A genuine passion and desire for engaging with new people.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to achieve goals.
  • Coachable and possesses a strong growth-oriented mindset.
  • A strong collaborator who embraces growth, hands-on execution, adaptability, and the true scale-up spirit.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is:

  • U.S. Candidates: USD $60,000 - $70,000 / year base pay
  • Canadian Candidates: CAD $60,000 - $70,000 / year base pay

Compensation is determined based on experience, education, and geographic location. The final offer may vary within the stated range to reflect the candidate’s qualifications and market conditions in their area. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
