Asset Management Analyst

Overview

The Asset Management Analyst at Town of Flower Mound oversees methods for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. This role supports Public Works by developing and coordinating asset data collection in line with the strategic plan, work prioritization, and daily operations for water, wastewater, streets, storm drainage, and other functions.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain complex statistical reports, dashboards, and maps using asset software such as ESRI and Cityworks.

• Administer the Cityworks work order system and Storeroom asset management software
• Update and maintain GIS datasets and database layers for Town infrastructure
• Perform quality checks and calculations using GIS data
• Participate in field data collection and report/map generation
• Collect and organize data using Microsoft Excel and SQL Management Studio
• Prepare reports and expenditure details to forecast needs and identify opportunities
• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting the SCADA system for public works infrastructure

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise applications, GIS concepts, database design, and quality control is essential. Familiarity with Cityworks, Microsoft SQL Server, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications is required. Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and collaboration skills are key.

Education & Experience

An Associate’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, or 4+ years of work experience in public works asset management or GIS. A minimum of 2 years using ESRI software is required. A valid Texas Driver's License is also necessary.

Physical Abilities

Must be able to read, write, talk, see, and hear; operate office equipment; and lift up to 30 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
