Volunteer Opportunity: Welcome and Support New Residents
Habitat et Humanisme - Ile-de-France has been fighting against exclusion and isolation for 40 years by promoting housing, integration, and the recreation of social bonds. Our teams of volunteers and employees work daily to help individuals and families transitioning from precarious housing situations to find decent accommodation and regain confidence and autonomy.

We provide decent, low-rent housing in balanced neighborhoods for families and individuals facing difficulties. Our support focuses on building social connections, fostering integration, and promoting self-sufficiency. This accompaniment is a core part of our association's mission, with volunteers supporting the social worker who holds professional responsibility.
Mission Details
- Assist families with settling into their new neighborhood and integrating, in coordination with the Social Worker.
- Build a trusting relationship, foster new or renewed social connections, and share convivial moments.
- Support families with daily tasks and administrative processes based on their expressed needs (digital support, cultural activities, vacations, school support, neighborhood introductions, housing maintenance, organization, health support, etc.).
- Maintain a respectful and listening attitude to facilitate the development of realistic projects, encouraging individuals to take an active role in their integration.
- Encourage family participation in association events and activities (collective activities, cultural outings, etc.).
- Attend monthly meetings for the volunteer group or the local territory.
