Mission Overview

The Association Valentin Haüy, recognized as a public utility since 1891, relies on 60 departmental committees to assist blind and visually impaired individuals in overcoming isolation and providing them with the means to lead a normal, autonomous life. Our dedicated team of volunteers extends its actions across the department and some neighboring areas without committees, to support beneficiaries of all ages, their caregivers, and socio-economic stakeholders.

Become our future Trésorier du Comité de Lyon, working closely with the President of our committee and the association's headquarters!

Key Responsibilities of the Trésorier du Comité de Lyon

  • Prepare and propose the committee's annual provisional budget.
  • Verify the committee's annual budget prepared by the salaried accountant and present it to the Committees Coordination at the headquarters.
  • Monitor the committee's treasury; track expenditure commitments made by our accountant; verify receipts and maintain relationships with the committee's banks.
  • Verify the committee's annual accounts and the quarterly financial situation prepared by the committee's accountant, in close collaboration with the headquarters' accounting department.
  • Control beneficiary invoicing for the committee.
  • Produce analytical tracking reports for certain activities carried out by the committee, based on decisions made by the committee's executive board.
  • Define, with the executive board, the financial research orientations necessary for the committee's operation and influence, and prepare relevant dossiers for grants, donations, and legacies.

You will be supported by an accountant present three and a half days per week.

Committee Participation

  • Bureau meetings: once a month (remote participation possible).
  • Team meetings (comprising the executive board and 6 employees): every two months (remote participation possible).
  • Occasional participation in invitations from municipalities, métropole, département, région, SYTRAL, in conjunction with the President.
  • Occasional participation in forums and other events.

Skills and Interpersonal Qualities

  • Experience in accounting and basic financial analysis.
  • Proficient use of computer tools.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a team.

Availability

The mission requires availability of one to two days per week (excluding committee closure periods: four weeks in summer and one week in winter).
