Junior eCommerce Data Analyst
Tottenham Hotspur is an iconic English football club seeking a Junior eCommerce Data Analyst to join our team. We are looking for someone to leverage a brand-new technology stack to its full potential, generating insights and reporting to support eCommerce strategy and optimization initiatives.
Role Purpose
The Junior eCommerce Data Analyst will generate insights and reporting, and support eCommerce strategy and optimisation initiatives. The goal is to help leverage a brand-new technology stack to its full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the eCommerce Strategy & Insights Manager to analyse, optimise and report on Spurs Shop performance.
- Generate actionable reports and dashboards, communicating findings to the broader team and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to solve problems and improve the customer experience.
- Complete ad hoc data requests.
- Identify growth opportunities and areas of improvement in the user journey.
- Align reporting with the Business Analytics team, ensuring a cohesive message is communicated across the club.
- Liaise with the web development team and data consultancy to maintain and improve event tracking.
- Attend insight sharing sessions with other analysts from around the club.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest news and innovations in user experience, advertising and technology. Attend regular industry webinars and communicate macro context to the E-commerce team.
Person Specification
Qualifications / Training
- Preferably a 2:2 (or equivalent) Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Statistics or other relevant subject. Completed or on track to complete in spring 2026.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in an analytics, insights, research, or numerate e-commerce or marketing role (internships and graduate schemes inclusive).
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Understanding of eCommerce principles and KPIs, with a system-thinking approach to traffic, conversion rates, and average order values.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot tables, XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, nested IF statements, other complex formulas and data manipulation).
- Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, Shopify, or other E-commerce platforms is advantageous.
- Conceptual understanding of A/B testing.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Mixpanel, or other web analytics tools is advantageous.
- Understanding of fundamental statistics concepts (interpreting coefficients, p-values, confidence intervals) is advantageous.
- Fundamental understanding of SQL is advantageous.
- Experience with Business Intelligence / Data Visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot or Looker is advantageous. Tableau will be used moving forward.
