Overview

The Revenues & Cost Accountant - Gas Assets position supports the EP Financial Reporting team by handling budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting for EP US Onshore Gas Assets.

Key Responsibilities

Revenues Accounting: Support monthly and forecast production estimates, work with the geosciences team on production analysis, ensure timely collection of Accounts Receivable for gas revenues, manage postings via the accounting shared service center, and estimate and post revenue accruals.

Accounting & Financial Operations: Record monthly journal entries for various cost centers (JV Production Costs & Capex, Payables, ARO, Opex costs, Taxes, and Intercompany transactions), lead SAP account reconciliations, and support quarter-end close processes with reconciliation between Galaxy and CAP.

Joint Venture & Cost Monitoring: Monitor monthly Joint Venture billings, supply inputs on Volume, Capex, and Opex in tracking tools, obtain payment approvals for Joint Interest Billings (JIBs), and manage AFEs in line with business guidelines.

Treasury & Asset Management: Review monthly Loan & Deposits summaries from Treasury, assign movements to corresponding assets, and coordinate with the shared service center to update SAP with accurate bank information.

Reporting & Controls: Load financial data into Galaxy/Galyz, perform control checks between SAP and Galaxy/Galyz, support preparation of financial presentations for executive meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiency.

Context and Environment

This role is part of a newly acquired US Onshore Gas Assets portfolio, aligning with TotalEnergies' growth strategy in the upstream gas sector. The Financial Reporting team acts as a Finance Business Partner to the Gas Asset Business Unit.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, is proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), and has experience with SAP or similar financial systems. Key skills include adaptability, analytical ability, strong organizational and communication skills, and the capacity to work independently across multiple priorities.
