Job Description

About the Role: Contract Administration Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Stations, the Contract Administration Analyst at Toronto Hydro will lead the administration of internal and external driven financial and contractual transactions. This pivotal role supports all capital, reactive and maintenance, program delivery, and budgetary attainment. This posting is for 2 existing vacancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads financial and contractual administration activities, managing transactions from project inception to capitalization on projects annually.
  • Administers the Capital, Reactive and Maintenance, Capital Contribution Process, ensuring financial transactions are received and allocated to projects.
  • Acts as the RC Financial and contractual lead and liaison to stakeholder groups including design & engineering, internal and external construction teams, program management, procurement, finance, legal, and standards & policy.
  • Develops event and probability forecasting for capital contributions in alignment with delivery scheduling.
  • Prepares reports pertaining to project/program status and outcomes and administers monthly reporting including project progress accruals, actual vs estimated variance analysis, and invoice receipting.
  • Proactively flags at-risk areas based on analysis of data and KPIs.
  • Conducts periodic field visits for on-going station projects.
  • Works closely with Program Management Consultant and Financial Analyst on transactional project requirements, status reporting, and event forecasting.
  • Supports the construction team with material, tools, and PPE orders.
  • Supports Stations design & construction teams for material management coordination with Procurement & supply chain teams.
  • Supports asset recognition and de-recognition close-out process.
  • Responsible for the development and improvement of databases and processes in support of project and regulatory requirements and ongoing productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives as well as process mapping activities in support of departmental continuous improvement programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field from an accredited University; a combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in finance, analytics, and project coordination.
  • Class G License preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in construction project.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Word.
  • Previous electrical utility experience preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an an asset.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Detailed Oriented – ensures work is completed with minimal errors.
  • Builds strong relationships - fosters open dialogue, builds relationships; collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders; seeks to understand problem before implementing a solution.
  • Champions change, productivity and innovation - experienced in developing new and creative solutions to work problems.

This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
