Overview
The Data Analyst - Strategic Initiatives at Toronto Community Housing offers a full-time permanent opportunity to leverage data to support community impact. Reporting to the Data Intelligence Manager within the Corporate Services division, this role supports the implementation of a new enterprise-wide Data Strategy.
What You Will Do
Data Analysis:
- Perform regular and ad hoc research and analysis.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy from diverse sources.
- Develop data visualizations and dashboards tailored for varied audiences.
- Provide feedback on business metrics and develop benchmarks.
- Assist with standardization and maintenance of data definitions.
Stakeholder Relationships:
- Champion TCHC’s new Data Strategy.
- Build effective relationships with ITS and business units.
- Offer technical assistance and explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Support in developing tools to track progress against business goals.
- Collaborate with analysts to identify trends and drive recommendations.
Research:
- Stay updated with data platform technologies and analytics methodologies.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements in business intelligence and data quality management.
- Participate in research projects with internal and external partners.
What You Will Need
- University Degree in computer science, analytics or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis and dashboard development.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, with familiarity in statistical analyses.
- Experience with SQL and Agile methods is desirable.
- Interest in social housing and experience in data governance is a plus.
