Overview

The Data Analyst - Strategic Initiatives at Toronto Community Housing offers a full-time permanent opportunity to leverage data to support community impact. Reporting to the Data Intelligence Manager within the Corporate Services division, this role supports the implementation of a new enterprise-wide Data Strategy.

What You Will Do

Data Analysis:

  • Perform regular and ad hoc research and analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy from diverse sources.
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards tailored for varied audiences.
  • Provide feedback on business metrics and develop benchmarks.
  • Assist with standardization and maintenance of data definitions.

Stakeholder Relationships:

  • Champion TCHC’s new Data Strategy.
  • Build effective relationships with ITS and business units.
  • Offer technical assistance and explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Support in developing tools to track progress against business goals.
  • Collaborate with analysts to identify trends and drive recommendations.

Research:

  • Stay updated with data platform technologies and analytics methodologies.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements in business intelligence and data quality management.
  • Participate in research projects with internal and external partners.

What You Will Need

  • University Degree in computer science, analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis and dashboard development.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, with familiarity in statistical analyses.
  • Experience with SQL and Agile methods is desirable.
  • Interest in social housing and experience in data governance is a plus.
