Job Summary

As a Solutions Architect Cloud Services at Toptal, you will shape and deliver innovative cloud solutions by working closely with clients and internal teams. Reporting to the Director of Cloud Services, you will design scalable and secure cloud architectures, lead technical engagements, and drive cloud transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Lead design of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
  • Client Engagement: Understand client challenges and cloud adoption goals.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide teams with best practices in cloud security, DevOps, and automation.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams for proposals and technical presentations.
  • Cloud Migration: Develop strategies for moving workloads to AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Performance Optimization: Recommend cost and performance improvements.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure standards like ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2 are met.
  • Collaboration & Thought Leadership: Work across teams to influence cloud strategy and best practices.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture or a related field. Expertise in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, containerization, microservices, Infrastructure-as-Code tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud migration strategies is essential. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to operate in a fast-paced, innovative environment are required.

Essential Job Functions

Attend virtual meetings on camera, work independently, use digital collaboration tools, and manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
