Job Summary

Toptal is seeking a senior-level Business Analyst Strategy & Analytics to provide crucial insights and recommendations. The candidate will support new business functions by structuring data infrastructure, developing reports, and creating models that drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, build models, test hypotheses, and extract business insights.
  • Use descriptive and diagnostic analytics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Define independent and holistic metrics aligned with company strategy.
  • Map business processes to data flows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business process owners for data-backed decisions.
  • Build data infrastructure for new businesses including Google Analytics, Search Console and Google Ads setups.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees/MBA a plus.
  • 5+ years in data analysis, analytics, or business intelligence.
  • 2+ years in consulting or analytical operations.
  • Strong technical background in math, science, finance, engineering or statistics.
  • Expertise in BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI) and proficiency in SQL.
  • Familiarity with R, Python or MATLAB is an advantage.
  • Experience in exploratory data analysis, forecasting, and modeling business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Must be a world-class individual contributor.
