Job Summary

Toptal is seeking a senior-level Business Analyst Strategy & Analytics to deliver crucial insights and actionable recommendations to business leaders. Working within the Business Analytics Center of Excellence, you will support new business initiatives by designing data infrastructure, developing performance reports, and enabling data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, build models, test hypotheses, and forecast performance.
  • Create Tableau reports and write SQL scripts to extract insights.
  • Develop descriptive and diagnostic analytics to recommend actions.
  • Define independent and holistic metrics aligned with company strategy.
  • Map business processes to data flows and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business process owners to empower decisions.
  • Build data infrastructures using Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ads for new business initiatives.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees/MBA are a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years in data analysis, analytics, or business intelligence.
  • At least 2+ years in consulting or analytical operations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience in R, Python, or MATLAB being a plus.
  • Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI.
  • Strong background in math, science, finance, engineering, or statistics with deep business insight.
  • Ability to connect data analytics with business strategy and financial performance.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
