Job Summary

Toptal is looking for a senior-level Business Analyst Strategy & Analytics to provide crucial insights and recommendations to business leaders. This role is part of the Business Analytics Center of Excellence and supports new businesses from data infrastructure to report development. The successful candidate will use data analysis, build models, forecast outcomes, run experiments, and perform diagnostic analysis to drive data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, build models, test hypotheses and extract insights.
  • Create Tableau reports, write SQL scripts, and use Google tools.
  • Define and monitor key metrics aligned with business strategy.
  • Map business processes to data flows and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business process owners to empower decision making.
  • Develop data infrastructure for new businesses from lead acquisition to revenue generation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in data analysis or business intelligence.
  • 2+ years in consulting or analytical operations.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI).
  • Background in math, science, finance, engineering or statistics; MBA is a plus.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to explain complex issues simply.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
