About the Role
Toole Design Group in Silver Spring, MD is looking for an experienced and talented full-time Senior Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering focused on roadway/corridor design and site development. The successful candidate will create quality construction documents and work for a firm committed to employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team.
- Develop feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related software.
- Participate in business development across U.S. offices.
Work Environment & Benefits
This full-time position offers a flexible 40-hour work week with 2 remote days per week. Benefits include competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, HSA, FSA, and at least 24 days PTO.

A Day in the Life
As the Senior Engineer, you will brainstorm creative solutions, manage roadway and active transportation projects in diverse settings, and ensure high quality construction documents. You will also support staff development and engage in client and permit-related activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering.
- Professional engineering license.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years in project/design management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads.
- Experience in utility coordination, cost estimation, and permit documentation.
