A Day in the Life of a Principal Civil Engineer
You will lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team working on projects ranging from roadway reconstructions to signature trail projects in various urban, suburban, and rural settings. You will use AutoCAD and other design software for production work and oversee construction document development, bid package preparation, permitting, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead design development and review processes.
- Supervise production work and mentor engineering staff.
- Participate in business development and quality initiatives.
- Engage directly with clients and interdisciplinary colleagues.
Work Schedule & Location
This is a full-time hybrid position requiring 40 hours/week with 2-3 days in the Boston office located downtown, easily accessible by MBTA, on foot, bicycle, or transit.
