Overview
Toole Design Group in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced full-time Civil Engineering Group Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of talented engineers delivering roadway reconstruction, trail design, and multimodal projects to improve safety and public spaces across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Role & Responsibilities
As the Civil Engineering Group Manager, you will:
- Manage an established team of experienced engineers.
- Pursue and manage projects from concept to construction.
- Lead business development and client engagements.
- Mentor staff and foster a culture of collaboration.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain quality control.

Qualifications
- Professional Engineering license in PA (other Mid-Atlantic states a plus).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- At least 10 years of engineering experience and 5 years in project management.
- Expertise in roadway design, drainage, 3D modeling, and active transportation.
- Experience in business development and proposal preparation.
A Day in the Life
You will collaborate with senior leadership, manage projects, drive business development, and ensure high-quality deliverables from concept to construction. This role involves active client management, mentoring, and strategic planning with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
Location & Work Schedule
This role is based in the Philadelphia office, located in Center City, with a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days in office, 2 days remote).
