About the Role
The Senior Developer Advocate at TomTom is a strategic driver dedicated to expanding the utility and appeal of our APIs, SDKs, and data products. In this role, you will go beyond traditional developer engagement by identifying opportunities for new tooling and experiences that address developer needs and unlock the full potential of our platform.
What You'll Do
You will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive developer engagement strategy.
- Serve as a technical ambassador at events and online communities.
- Gain a deep understanding of developer workflows and identify friction points.
- Translate developer insights into actionable roadmap inputs for tooling and content.
- Create technical content including documentation, tutorials, demos, and sample applications.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales teams.
What You'll Need
Essential qualifications include:
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience with APIs, SDKs, and software products.
- Experience in Developer Relations, Advocacy, or similar roles.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Solid grasp of RESTful API concepts and integration patterns.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to create clear technical content.

- Familiarity with mapping technologies and location data services.
- Experience with AI-assisted developer workflows and mobile development.
- Experience contributing to developer-facing product standards.
