The FinTech Program Management Team
The FinTech Program Management team at Toast is crucial for scaling and supporting the FinTech business lines. They actively seek and develop opportunities for both business growth and operational efficiency across the FinTech sector. This role involves strategic initiative management, cross-functional leadership, execution of FinTech programs, and external partner operations management.
Joining this team offers significant strategic, operational, and cross-functional leadership opportunities. You'll gain broad exposure to various functions including Product Management, Strategic Alliances, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Marketing. This role requires working core EST hours.
A Day In The Life as a Program Manager, Fintech at Toast
- Lead and manage diverse cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of major programs, effectively managing stakeholders and driving key decisions and outcomes.
- Manage and support operational relationships with external partners, actively identifying opportunities to enhance partnership performance in collaboration with the Strategic Alliances team.
- Develop comprehensive program plans and oversee their implementation, including scoping requirements, identifying inefficiencies, and driving continuous improvements and operational excellence.
- Drive the implementation of large-scale, high-impact programs within the FinTech business and act as a critical business partner to other segments on FinTech workstreams, facilitating key decisions and outcomes.
- Support the partner incident management lifecycle, which includes managing the customer reimbursement process when necessary.
- Design and develop robust frameworks for cross-functional teams to efficiently launch new initiatives and increase the efficiency of existing operational processes.
What You'll Need To Thrive
- Over 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in consulting, financial services, or similar roles within a high-growth technology company (e.g., product operations, program management).
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with preferred fields of study including Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Quantitative Science.
- Demonstrated outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in a startup or similar high-growth environment, showcasing the ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic setting while consistently meeting multiple deadlines.
- Excellent critical-thinking skills and a strong ability to structure and solve complex business problems. Experience developing detailed program plans, leading implementation, scoping requirements, identifying inefficiencies, and driving operational excellence is essential.
- Ability to work core EST hours.
