About the role
Role Overview
The Director of Corporate Accounting is a highly visible senior leader reporting to the Corporate Controller and serving as a critical member of the Chief Accounting Officer organization. This role oversees the corporate accounting function and is responsible for managing a team of high potential accounting team, while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the close and corporate accounting areas, including compensation, capital assets, operating expenses, and international statutory reporting, in accordance with GAAP and internal policies across a complex and multinational organization.
Blending hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, this leader partners closely with a large variety of cross-functional teams including but not limited to Finance & Strategy, Business Systems, Tax, Revenue, Procurement, HR/Benefit, and other cross-functional teams. The role is central to strengthening internal controls and advancing the adoption of AI, automation, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

A Day In The Life (Responsibilities)
- Lead an accurate and timely month-end close process by driving solutions at scale that benefit cross-functional teams and our reporting goals.
- Perform thorough review for corporate accounting related processes and transactions, such as compensation/commissions, long-term assets, operating expenses, and consolidation to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP, appropriate documentation for external reporting and audit/SOX requirements.
- Develop, motivate and manage a distributed high-potential accounting team across the U.S. and collaborate with offshore accounting teams in India, fostering high performance and accountability.
- Lead and inspire AI and automation transformation of corporate accounting processes, and collaborate closely with Business System to design and execute initiatives from roadmap to execution.
- Lead collaboration with our cross functional partners, such as Finance & Strategy, Revenue Accounting, Tax, Procurement, including but not limited to variance analysis, periodic business review results, and establish new processes when needed.
- Communicate the accounting implication to stakeholders across the organization.
- Streamline and enhance processes and SOX compliant controls.
- Create efficiencies and simplification by leveraging technology solutions and automation.
- Partner with accounting leadership to define key strategies, roadmap, and future operating model through alignment with business process owners.
What You'll Need To Thrive (Requirements)
- 12+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with a combination of public accounting experience and progressive in-house accounting experiences at publicly-traded companies, with at least 5 years of people management experience.
- Balance between rolling up sleeves to execute results and leading a team with great leadership skills.
- Passionate about coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Netsuite experience is highly preferred.
- Strong operational accounting skills, including trouble shooting system errors, reviewing / approving journal entries, and compiling NetSuite reports.
- Strong ability to work cross functionally and proactively identify accounting issues, research applicable guidance and document accounting conclusions.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, work independently, be detail-oriented, prioritize competing workloads, and manage the deliverables from business partners and team members in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work with multi-national subsidiaries and multi-cultural environments.
- Flexibility to adapt to multi-time zones.
- Eagerness to learn and willing to take on new challenges
- CPA preferred
- Experience with Alteryx, FloQast and/or AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) preferred

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits. Zone A: $186,000—$298,000 USD
Zone B: $162,000—$259,000 USD
Zone C: $145,000—$232,000 USD
