About This Position
The Internship ISAC Testbed Development role at TNO involves enhancing a basic ISAC (Integrated Sensing and Communication) testbed using USRPs and integrating it with an existing B5G/6G testbed. The project focuses on testing ISAC feasibility, determining use-cases, and performing sensitivity analysis based on various parameters such as number of nodes, waveform parameters, and object types.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance the ISAC testbed for monostatic and bistatic sensing using OFDM waveforms and USRPs.
- Integrate radio resource management solutions including topology management, scheduling, and beamforming.
- Conduct experiments using AI/ML or heuristic solutions addressing various scenarios.
- Analyze performance trade-offs between sensing and communications tasks.
What We Expect From You
You are a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. You should have an interest in mobile networks, computer simulations, and machine learning, with relevant programming experience. An enterprising and cooperative attitude is essential.
Key Strengths
- Familiarity with hardware components like USRPs, antennas, and NUCs.
- Knowledge in 5G/6G, wireless communications, signal and radar processing, waveform designs.
- Ability to work independently under supervision.
- Excellent English communication skills.
