Role Overview
The Insights Business Analyst sits at the intersection of business and technology, working closely with business partners to identify problems, develop data-driven solutions, and improve operational excellence across TMX Markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Client Relationship Management, Product Development, and Research teams.
- Identify opportunities to optimize business processes using data.
- Leverage big data tools (Presto, Hive, Apache Spark) for data extraction and manipulation.
- Create dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and similar tools.
- Support market research, product design, and business development initiatives.
- Work with enterprise data and technology teams to operationalize scalable solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
Candidates should hold a degree in a quantitative or technology-focused field with expertise in manipulating large data sets, knowledge of equity and derivative instruments, and 1 to 5 years of experience in data visualization and SQL/database management.
Experience with tools such as Presto, Spark, Hive, Athena, and AWS services (Athena, EMR, S3, EC2) is required. Knowledge of programming languages and agile work environments are a plus.
Salary & Benefits
The salary is approximately 80,000 - 90,000 CAD per year, with the exact figure based on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include flexible work arrangements, robust wellness programs, and opportunities for growth in a diverse, global environment.
