Overview

Responsibilities

As an Office Manager, your tasks will include:

  • Reviewing and evaluating new administrative procedures to ensure efficiency.
  • Delegating work effectively to office support staff.
  • Establishing work priorities and ensuring procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Carrying out administrative activities for the establishment.
  • Administering policies and procedures related to records release in compliance with government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Coordinating and planning office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services.
  • Assisting in the preparation of operating budgets and maintaining inventory and budgetary controls.
  • Assembling data and preparing periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence.
  • Performing data entry tasks accurately.
  • Training staff on new procedures and systems.
  • Overseeing and coordinating all office administrative procedures.
  • Resolving conflict situations within the office environment.
  • Monitoring and evaluating office operations for continuous improvement.
  • Planning and controlling budget and expenditures.
