About the Role
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager - Structure & Bridge Design to join our Structure & Bridge Design Group in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will lead design efforts for structural engineering, manage client relationships, and develop work plans, schedules, estimates, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Structural Engineering team design efforts
- Manage clients and develop relationships
- Create work plans, schedules, estimates, and budgets
- Supervise, coordinate, and review engineers' work
- Mentor junior engineers
- Perform complex bridge design for new and rehabilitation projects
- Use structural design software such as MDX, Virtis, Merlin-Dash, Descus, Bar7, STAAD
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing plans
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Applicants should have 8-15 years of structural design experience and hold a current Virginia PE license (or be eligible to obtain one). Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, and VDOT standards.
