Overview
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager Traffic Analysis candidate to join our Traffic Group located in our Columbia, SC office. The role involves managing project execution, maintaining client relations, and ensuring high quality and profitable outcomes.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of assigned projects, developing strong client relationships, marketing and business development, technical quality, profitability, schedule management, and project staff coordination. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing several mid-sized projects, multiple small projects, or one large project simultaneously
- Maintaining superior client relationships and cross-selling Timmons Group services
- Coordinating ongoing communications with the Office Manager and Transportation Group Leader
- Handling project accounting, scheduling, and budgeting
- Overseeing marketing and technical supervision of staff
Skills and Requirements
Candidates should have a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with 8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design, traffic, and transportation engineering. Professional registration (P.E., PTOE, etc.) is preferred along with proficiency in MicroStation and traffic analysis software (Synchro, SimTraffic, Trans Modeler, VISSIM, etc.).
