Job Overview

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager Transportation Group for our Transportation Design Group located in Ashburn, VA. The role is focused on managing transportation projects, developing strong client relationships, and ensuring project success from inception to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned transportation design projects ensuring quality, schedule, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and explore cross-selling opportunities.
  • Oversee project accounting, scheduling, budgeting, and technical staff coordination.
  • Conduct marketing and business development while ensuring effective client communications.
  • Handle scope negotiations, fee billing, and assist with fee collection as needed.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design, traffic, and transportation engineering.
  • Strong command of project accounting, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Experience in marketing, supervising technical work, and using office support software.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and capability to operate a motor vehicle.
