Job Overview

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager - Transportation Design Group candidate to join our Charlottesville, VA office. This role is geared towards managing multiple transportation projects while developing strong client relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects ensuring technical quality and profitability
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Handle marketing, business development and negotiate scopes and fees
  • Coordinate project staff and communicate with key office leaders
  • Manage project scheduling, budgeting, and billing processes

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) preferred
  • 8 to 10 years in roadway design, traffic and transportation engineering
  • Strong knowledge of project accounting, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Experience in marketing and supervising technical staff
  • Proficiency with technical and office support software
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
