Civil Project Engineer (Roadway Design) at Timmons Group

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III candidate to join our Transportation Design Group in the Washington, DC office. This role involves designing roadway projects using industry-leading software and collaborating with both client and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design project components using office software and AutoDesk Civil 3D.
  • Perform engineering calculations and research for project specifications.
  • Develop complete design details and plan sets through field observation and data collection.
  • Assist with engineering and construction cost estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with client staff and internal teams.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • At least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering, specifically roadway design.
  • Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer; AutoDesk Civil 3D is a plus.
  • VDOT experience preferred; EIT certification is a plus.
