Job Overview

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer - Roadway Design to join our Transportation Design Group in Ashburn, VA. The role involves designing roadway projects using engineering software and performing field observations and data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Design project portions using AutoDesk Civil 3D and relevant software.
• Perform calculations using engineering formulas and computer modeling.
• Prepare specifications and materials using research and catalogs.
• Complete design details, plan sets, and engineering reports.
• Assist in cost estimates and field inspections as directed by senior staff.
• Communicate with client staff and internal design teams.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least two years of transportation civil engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer is essential.
• AutoDesk Civil 3D is a plus.
• VDOT experience preferred; EIT preferred.
