Civil Project Engineer III - Water & Wastewater

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer III in the Water & Wastewater Group to join our Staunton, Virginia office. This role involves design, calculations, specifications, field observations, and collaboration with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design project portions using office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology
  • Perform engineering calculations using relevant formulas and computer tools
  • Prepare specifications via research and equipment catalogs
  • Complete design details and plan sets
  • Conduct research and write summary reports for project work
  • Assist with engineering and construction cost estimates
  • Undertake field observations, inspections, and data collection
  • Communicate with client staff and internal design teams

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 5-8 years of water resources engineering experience preferred
  • Proficiency in CADD software, preferably Civil 3D
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license
