Civil Project Engineer III - Water & Wastewater
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer III in the Water & Wastewater Group to join our Staunton, Virginia office. This role involves design, calculations, specifications, field observations, and collaboration with clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design project portions using office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology
- Perform engineering calculations using relevant formulas and computer tools
- Prepare specifications via research and equipment catalogs
- Complete design details and plan sets
- Conduct research and write summary reports for project work
- Assist with engineering and construction cost estimates
- Undertake field observations, inspections, and data collection
- Communicate with client staff and internal design teams
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5-8 years of water resources engineering experience preferred
- Proficiency in CADD software, preferably Civil 3D
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver’s license
