About the Civil Project Engineer II - Stormwater Role

Timmons Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II to join its Stormwater Group in the Virginia Beach, Virginia office. This role involves performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, designing stormwater management solutions, and supporting stream and wetland restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for storm drainage issues.
  • Design and support BMPs, LID solutions, and stream restoration projects.
  • Ensure QA/QC reviews and prepare project specifications.
  • Conduct research, prepare technical reports, and perform field inspections.
  • Assist in cost estimations and communicate with clients and internal teams.

Skills & Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with work experience.
  • 3 to 6+ years in environmental/civil engineering, especially stormwater management.
  • Working knowledge of CADD software, preferably Civil 3D.
  • Strong technical expertise, project management, and communication skills.
