What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
As a Scheduler, YM CARE Center, you will:
- Assess urgency of incoming calls and provide appropriate assistance.
- Schedule patient appointments, resolve conflicts, and notify of changes.
- Build and modify provider master schedules and clinic calendars.
- Handle administrative tasks including obtaining charts, verifying insurance, and processing payments.
- Generate reports and maintain clinical and patient statistical data.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum four years of related work experience or an Associate degree with two years experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage heavy phone volume and patient interactions with sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in English, grammar, and punctuation for accurate data entry and communication.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EPIC scheduling systems.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, multi-line telephones, and call queues.
- Spanish speaking ability is a plus.
