What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As a Scheduler, YM CARE Center, you will:

  • Assess urgency of incoming calls and provide appropriate assistance.
  • Schedule patient appointments, resolve conflicts, and notify of changes.
  • Build and modify provider master schedules and clinic calendars.
  • Handle administrative tasks including obtaining charts, verifying insurance, and processing payments.
  • Generate reports and maintain clinical and patient statistical data.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Minimum four years of related work experience or an Associate degree with two years experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage heavy phone volume and patient interactions with sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English, grammar, and punctuation for accurate data entry and communication.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in a high-volume healthcare call center or medical practice.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EPIC scheduling systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, multi-line telephones, and call queues.
  • Spanish speaking ability is a plus.
