The Opportunity: Head of AEO/SEO

Search is shifting fast — and we’re looking for someone who’s already building for what’s next. As our Head of AEO/SEO, you’ll shape how Tilt shows up in the places people actually search today: AI engines, conversational interfaces, and evolving SERPs. This work sits at the center of how future customers discover, understand, and trust Tilt.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Lead the full AEO strategy — defining how Tilt earns visibility and credibility across AI chatbots and answer engines.
  • Own our SEO roadmap end to end, ensuring we win the SERPs of today while positioning Tilt to lead the next decade of search.
  • Guide the creation and optimization of high-performing content and information architecture, primed for both AI-driven and traditional search.
  • Partner with Affiliate Marketing, Brand, and cross-functional teams to secure earned and paid placements that amplify visibility and reinforce trust.
  • Build rigorous measurement frameworks that turn insight into action and help us prioritize with clarity.
  • Move with speed — testing, learning, and developing automation, data pipelines, and martech to power search campaigns at scale.
  • Share progress and perspective with senior leadership, offering sharp insights and forward-looking strategies that help Tilt stay ahead.

What Success Looks Like

  • A meaningful lift in Tilt’s visibility across answer engines and priority search queries — both brand and non-brand.
  • Sustained growth in high-intent organic traffic to Tilt.com.
  • Demonstrable increases in organic acquisition for our subscription and card businesses.

Why You’re a Great Fit

  • 5–7 years of proven, measurable SEO leadership across technical, content, and authority pillars.
  • Hands-on AEO experience in the last 12–18 months — you understand how AI systems surface answers and how to influence those surfaces.
  • A builder’s mindset: you move through ambiguity with ownership, grit, and clarity.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts — able to decode complex search behavior and turn insight into repeatable playbooks.
  • Deep analytical fluency across visibility, ranking, and conversion tools to define and optimize KPIs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, translating complexity into crisp direction for partners across marketing, engineering, and copy.
