Junior Cybersecurity Expert (Infrastructure)
thyssenkrupp is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Expert to support the protection of global IT infrastructure. This role involves operating, monitoring, and improving key security controls as part of the Infrastructure team in India. You will collaborate with global IT Security and Infrastructure stakeholders to maintain a secure and compliant IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily cybersecurity operations within the IT infrastructure landscape.
- Monitor, analyze, and assist in responding to security alerts and incidents.
- Operate and support enterprise security solutions (endpoint, network, and threat detection platforms).
- Support endpoint, server, and network security controls.
- Assist with firewall rule reviews and basic configuration tasks.
- Support vulnerability management, patch coordination, and remediation tracking.
- Contribute to security documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Support audits, internal controls, and compliance-related activities.
- Collaborate with global IT, infrastructure, and security teams.
Your Profile:
- 1-3 years of experience in IT security, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role.
- Mandatory: Practical experience with at least 2 of the following technologies: Microsoft Endpoint Detection & Response (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint / EDR), Darktrace (enterprise threat detection / NDR), Check Point Firewall (operations, monitoring, rule reviews).
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals (networks, servers, endpoints).
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles (CIA triad, threats, vulnerabilities, incident response).
- Good communication and documentation skills in English.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Entry-level cybersecurity or cloud certifications (e.g. Security+, SC-900, AZ-900, ISO 27001 basics).
- Exposure to SIEM tools or identity and access management concepts.
- Experience in an international or enterprise IT environment.
