About the role
About Three Seven
Three Seven is a strategy-led digital marketing agency helping B2B technology companies transform confusion into clarity - and clarity into results. Headquartered in Michigan with a national team, we partner with clients across the US to strengthen positioning, refine messaging, and build marketing systems that perform. From brand strategy and website design to SEO, content, and demand generation, we connect strategy with execution so every effort moves the business forward. Our Philosophy: Small, smart inputs can create outsized outcomes. That’s the Butterfly Effect that inspired our name - and it’s how we approach every engagement.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager who can both hunt and farm. This is a consultative sales role, not a numbers-game outbound grind. You’ll win by understanding a prospect’s business challenges deeply and matching them to the right mix of what we do best. You’ll own the full sales cycle - from first outreach through signed contract and initial onboarding handoff - and you’ll be a key driver of the agency’s growth towards our 2026 revenue target.
What you’ll do
- Prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across inbound and outbound channels
- Lead discovery calls, uncover the real business challenge behind the stated request, and recommend the right solutions
- Write and present tailored proposals; own pricing, scoping, and contract negotiation in partnership with leadership
- Manage your pipeline in HubSpot with discipline - accurate deal stages, realistic timelines, and clean data
- Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within the existing client base
- Stay involved through client kick-off and account team handoff - ensuring the relationship is set up to succeed from day one
- Maintain a strong understanding of our services, positioning, and competitive differentiation
Experience Level
- 10+ years in business development, account management, or strategy inside a marketing, branding, or digital agency
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B services environment
- Experience selling retained engagements, not just project work - you understand the long game
- A genuine consultative mindset: you read between the lines, not just off a pitch deck
- Strong understanding of digital marketing (SEO, paid media, content, web) - enough to hold a credible strategic conversation
- Proficiency in HubSpot CRM; familiarity with Monday.com and proposal tools
- Exceptional communication and listening skills - you’re as comfortable asking questions as presenting answers
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a small, growing agency environment
Industry Experience (preferred, not required)
- Life sciences or biotech
- Higher education
- Technology or SaaS
- Any B2B mid-market company with a complex buying process
This role is probably not for you if…
- You’re most comfortable managing a team, not building a pipeline yourself
- Context-switching and juggling multiple deal stages at once is genuinely hard for you
- You need a large SDR team or marketing engine to feed you leads before you’ll pick up the phone
- Change management and adapting to new tools and processes are a persistent challenge
Perks
- Flexible hours and fully remote work, promoting a strong work/life balance.
- 10 days of paid vacation and 13 paid holidays.
- Retirement matching plan and healthcare stipend.
- A family-like atmosphere that values personal growth.
- Opportunities to grow within a dynamic and expanding team.
