About the role
Head of North American Growth & Digital Strategy
Three Pillars Recruiting is seeking a senior executive to lead growth, digital strategy, and client expansion across North America. This role is designed for a proven leader coming from a leading advertising or media services agency who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and revenue generation.
The Head of North American Growth & Digital Strategy will be responsible for originating, pitching, and closing large-scale omnichannel engagements, while also ensuring the successful activation and long-term growth of client accounts.
This leader will play a central role in shaping the agency’s go-to-market strategy, building high performing teams, and partnering directly with the Founder on strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new business development efforts, sourcing and closing net-new accounts with annual media spend up to $10M+
- Craft and present compelling omnichannel strategies across paid media, including search, social, programmatic, and SEO
- Partner closely with the Founder to develop pitch narratives, strategic frameworks, and client-facing proposals
- Serve as an executive client partner, maintaining senior-level relationships and driving account growth and retention
- Oversee the activation, execution, and performance of client campaigns, ensuring measurable business outcomes
- Build and lead a campaign management team to support large-scale accounts and ongoing delivery
- Integrate generative and agentic AI solutions into campaign strategy, optimization, and reporting
- Establish best practices for cross-channel performance, attribution, and growth experimentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align delivery, innovation, and client success
- Quarterly travel
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, media strategy, or agency leadership roles
- Proven track record of closing and growing large-scale client engagements (including net-new business)
- Deep expertise across paid search, paid social, SEO, and broader digital media ecosystems: brand development, media planning and buying, digital marketing, go-to market strategy
- Strong experience managing and scaling omnichannel campaigns with measurable performance outcomes
- Demonstrated success in both business development and account leadership within an agency environment
- Hands-on experience applying generative AI and emerging agentic tools within marketing or media strategies
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior client stakeholders
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Ability to work under a 1099 contract
