About the Role

Join the CoCounsel AI Assistant team as a Lead Software Engineer. In this role, you will build user-facing features for the CoCounsel chat application and develop platform capabilities to enable partners company-wide to reach customers. You will write delightful application code, create easy-to-use frameworks and component libraries, and drive team efficiency in a fast-moving field.

This is an individual contributor leadership role requiring deep expertise in front-end technologies and a strong understanding of backend and platform implications. You will work collaboratively across the technical stack and with stakeholders to deliver both tactical and strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop user-facing features for the CoCounsel chat application.
  • Create component libraries and robust frameworks.
  • Ensure coordinated changes across the stack with evolving LLM capabilities.
  • Mentor engineers and break features into actionable stories.
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership across the company.

About You

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with a minimum of five years of professional software development experience. You should have deep expertise in front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, and real-time communication systems, with added skills in backend API design and experience with tools like websockets. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, along with a self-starter mentality and adaptability.

  • Experience with Python, large language models, and machine learning applications.
  • Familiarity with cutting-edge AI tooling and techniques.
  • Thoughtful opinions on LLM-driven application UX.
