About The Role

As an Associate Business Design Architect, you will leverage your analytical rigour, structured design expertise, and stakeholder management skills to drive Thomson Reuters' transformation. Working across functions (including commercial excellence, customer-to-cash, finance, enterprise architecture, sales, product, etc.), you'll define future-state business standards and assess how products and operations align with them. Your work will shape how Thomson Reuters evolves its commercial models, operational processes, and technology platforms to support strategic transformation.

Core Focus Areas

  • Apply analytical and critical thinking to evaluate complex business challenges, identify root causes, and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Design and document structured operational processes and business requirements using industry-standard frameworks and methodologies.
  • Lead workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement across all organisational levels to gather insights, build alignment, and drive decision-making.
  • Manage project activities independently, ensuring alignment with broader programs and portfolios while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop high-level business designs, including business requirements, process flows, and standardized definitions.
  • Conduct fit-gap assessments to evaluate product and operational alignment with business standards, identifying gaps and recommending improvement opportunities.
  • Use critical thinking and industry best practices to manage ambiguity, challenge the current state, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Translate findings into actionable inputs for business design governance and strategic roadmaps.
  • Gather and analyse data to assess the impact and highlight the relevance of proposed changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document decisions, track open items, and ensure alignment across workstreams.
  • Report key updates to the Business Architecture leadership team.
  • Act as a champion for high-quality and consistent design activities and assessments across TR.
  • Establish, validate, and measure key metrics to track impacts and achieve intended business results.
  • Maintain and improve templates, trackers, and dashboards for design and assessment activities.
