About the Role: Acquisition Sales Specialist - AI Solutions

As an Acquisition Sales Specialist - AI Solutions at Thomson Reuters, you will be instrumental in promoting and selling CoCounsel solutions to new law firm customers within an assigned territory. Your primary focus will be on outbound prospecting, with a strong emphasis on calls, to meet and exceed established sales and activity targets. This role is crucial for expanding the footprint of Practical Law and CoCounsel Solutions within Thomson Reuters Legal's Small Law Firm organization.

You will manage some inbound leads, actively prospect for new opportunities, and apply superior sales acumen to win competitive deals. This requires a high level of consultative and solution-based selling to effectively engage firms with one to ten attorneys, who are new subscribers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus daily efforts on selling to small law firm customers (1-10 attorneys) that are new subscribers within a designated territory.
  • Achieve and surpass monthly and annual sales quotas through effective negotiations and product offerings.
  • Meet outbound prospecting and opportunity creation goals using various tools, including calls, emails, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Accurately gather and log all call information, sales orders, and profile activity within Salesforce, Thomson Reuters' CRM system, ensuring proper marketing source attribution.
  • Develop and deliver precise sales forecasts to management.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested by Inside Sales Management.

Relationship Management

  • Build, maintain, and enhance the client's experience through consultative conversations, asking probing questions, and demonstrating superior product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with internal organizations (Order Fulfillment, Credit, Customer Service) to ensure efficient and accurate handling of customer accounts and timely issue resolution.
  • Actively contribute to a positive team environment, collaborating with Field Sales Representatives and Full Inside Sales Executives.
  • Obtain customer and competitive information during daily interactions and distribute it appropriately to inform sales strategies.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of company products, special sales programs, and marketing efforts within the sales division.
  • Actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and individual professional development to continuously build skills.

About You

You are an ideal candidate for the Acquisition Sales Specialist - AI Solutions position if you possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of successful sales quota attainment experience.
  • A college degree in business, sales, or a related field (strongly preferred).
  • Required experience in a prospecting/cold calling environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, along with adaptability to change.
  • Proven pipeline management skills within a CRM environment; Salesforce.com experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to demonstrate online products using web-based tools (e.g., WebEx, GLANCE, Oovoo, Skype).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate products, solutions, and price with customers.
  • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette, professional attitude, and integrity.
  • Legal industry knowledge or experience is a significant plus.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently between phone calls and computer work for 8 hours daily.

Compensation & Benefits

In the United States, Thomson Reuters provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a competitive 401k plan with company match. The target total cash compensation range for this role in eligible US locations is $136,500 USD - $253,500 USD, inclusive of both base pay and target sales incentive. Pay is determined by factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
