As an Overnight Front Desk Host, you will be responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquiries. You'll be the face of Thompson Hotels as a Front Desk Host. Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Responsible for registering guests and assigning rooms.
- Provides general information, directions, and assistance with any routine problems concerning reservations, room changes, etc.
- Performs all financial routing and reviews all Third-Party reservations.
- Confirms all Red Eye and Pre-Reg guests prior to running End of Day.
- Turns over the business day utilizing the Opera system End of Day function.
- Assists with Group Sales accounts by following instructions from the Sales Department.
- Recognizes Elite Members and VIPs.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- One-year related experience, and/or a combination of education and experience that provides the skills necessary for this position.
- High school graduate (desirable).
- Fluent in English; fluency in French, Spanish, or other languages is a plus.
- Previous hotel training and experience (desirable).
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Basic Software Proficiency: Familiarity with applications like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communicate via proper channels any guest inquiries and complaints.
