Position Summary

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you'll play a key role in performing environmental monitoring tasks in support of sterile production. The role requires aseptic techniques, cleanroom procedures, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure high quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses using instrumental and automated methods.
  • Generate and report valid data per established specifications.
  • Compare laboratory results, determine repeat or OOS as needed.
  • Maintain equipment and troubleshoot instrumentation issues.
  • Review and follow SOPs and analytical procedures.
  • Schedule activities to meet customer targets.
  • Adhere to job-related safety and training requirements.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

The role typically requires an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and 1+ years of experience in chemical testing with knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and Access is expected. The job demands physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and work in various environmental conditions including cleanrooms and cold rooms.

Work Schedule & Location

This is a 12-hour shift/night position scheduled from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am on a 2-2-3 shift rotation with a 15% shift differential. The position is based in Greenville, NC.
