About the role
Field Application Engineer
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer (FAS) to join our Protein Diagnostics team within the In Vitro Diagnostics division. This role is critical in providing expert technical support and innovative solutions to our clients, bridging advanced technology with customer success. You will help organizations optimize their analytical processes, enabling them to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate product capabilities to clients.
- Conduct pre-installation site visits for automation equipment and report findings for deployment planning.
- Provide training to clients on optimal use of our automation systems.
- Configure IT aspects of solutions, including connection to Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
- Perform software updates.
- Install new analytical parameters on existing automation systems.
- Assist clients with their accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with Customer Service to resolve complaints and perform corrective interventions.
- Work closely with Sales, Scientific, and Marketing teams, relaying user feedback.
Work Environment:
- Laboratory Setting, Office.
- Some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.).
- Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.
- Standard work schedule (Monday-Friday).
Travel Requirements:
- Frequent travel (50-70%) within the Paris region, Normandy, and Northern France.
- Occasional travel to other parts of France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and the UK.
- Valid driver's license (Permis B) and passport required.
