Location Details
This role is on-site at a Thermo Fisher Scientific location, preferably in Washington, DC or Waltham, MA. Austin, TX, Morrisville, NC, or Richmond, VA may also be considered. Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.

As a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, you will contribute to Thermo Fisher Scientific’s positive impact on people and the planet. You will serve as a strategic partner to the Vice President of CSR & Sustainability, ensuring priorities are advanced efficiently and effectively. This role involves direct executive support, enabling strong team operations, fostering an inclusive culture, and ensuring seamless delivery of CSR programs and events. You will gain visibility into enterprise CSR strategy and operations at scale, with direct exposure to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
- Operate with exceptional precision and attention to detail in scheduling, travel, data, and materials.
- Serve as the primary support for the global CSR leader, managing their calendar, meetings, public events, travel, and priorities.
- Enable efficient CSR team operations by driving key business processes, drafting correspondence, overseeing budgets and financial activities, and coordinating special projects.
- Demonstrate high responsiveness across stakeholders, communicating promptly and reliably to maintain momentum and alignment.
- Lead and/or support planning and execution of events, including site visits, community engagements, media appearances, and internal meetings.
- Prepare high-quality documents and presentations by synthesizing various inputs into clear, polished materials.
- Support tracking, reporting, and overall effectiveness of CSR initiatives.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required with a minimum of five (5) years of executive administrative experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of executive assistant experience supporting senior leadership, preferably in a global corporate environment.
Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated success supporting senior executives in a multinational company, leading law firm, or top-tier consulting firm.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, along with strong capability in executive-ready PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage a high volume of inbound requests across channels, effectively filtering, prioritizing, and executing workload.
- Track record of proactively adopting and leveraging emerging AI tools to drive efficiency and improve work methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and sound judgment.
- Proven ability to communicate proactively, escalate issues early, and follow through reliably to completion.
Additional Information
This is an office-based role, with potential for hybrid flexibility after onboarding. Infrequent domestic travel may be required. Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position in the District of Columbia is $80,000.00–$110,000.00 annually. This position may also be eligible for a variable annual bonus.
