Overview
The Cell Therapy Business Development Specialist NA East is a multifaceted role within Thermo Fisher Scientific's Bioproduction Group commercial organization. The role focuses on driving the adoption of the Cell Therapy portfolio into customers' manufacturing platforms across the North America East region. It involves subject matter expertise in cell therapy, sales, territory management, and cross-divisional collaboration.
A Day in the Life
- Serve as the East region specialist for the CCCT Cell Therapy portfolio.
- Focus on Isolation, Activation, and Expansion manufacturing workflows.
- Drive revenue growth through cross-divisional partnerships.
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan.
- Manage opportunity pipeline, forecasting and reporting.
- Communicate market trends and competitive insights.
Keys to Success
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a life-science-related field such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in cell therapy-related sales; 5-7+ years preferred. Proven track record in cross-divisional environments and influencing without authority.
Skills: Strong knowledge in cell therapy, excellent oral and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft products.
Travel and Location
This is a field-based role with a remote work location near a major cell therapy hub in the Boston or Philadelphia area. Approximately 30% travel is required for face-to-face meetings, teleconferences, and email interactions.
