Job Summary
The Application Administrator will handle, configure, and support our Atlassian Cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, customization, optimization, migration, and continuous improvement of these tools to meet the needs of our organization. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Atlassian Cloud, including Jira Software, Confluence, JSM, and Jira Align, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure effective tool usage and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support Atlassian Cloud and Data Center instances, including user management, permissions, workflows, schemes, and project configurations for Jira Software, Confluence, JSM, and Jira Align.
- Manage and administer Atlassian Cloud organization, sites, and centralized user management (Atlassian Admin Hub / Vortex).
- Install, configure, and manage marketplace apps and integrations across Cloud.
- Implement and maintain automation rules using Jira Automation.
- Configure and maintain integrations with other Atlassian products and third-party applications.
- Customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, fields, and other configurations to meet evolving business requirements.
- Optimize Confluence Cloud spaces, templates, and macros to enhance user experience and content governance.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts and automation reports as required.
- Provide technical support for Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align users—troubleshooting issues and resolving them promptly.
- Good knowledge on implementing Forge and Atlassian Rovo agent troubleshooting.
- Perform system audits, backups, and upgrades while ensuring compliance with change management processes.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian APIs and Python for data extractions and modifications.
- Build and maintain comprehensive documentation covering Atlassian Cloud configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Conduct user training sessions to promote standard methodologies and the adoption of Atlassian Cloud features.
- Collaborate with IT, development, and project management teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and external regulatory standards within Atlassian tools.
- Manage user access, groups, and permissions in Atlassian Admin Hub to maintain system security.
- Analyze usage metrics and adoption data to improve application performance and user engagement.
- Support Atlassian Cloud migrations, ensuring minimal disruption and accurate data transition.
- This role may require occasional on-call support and flexibility in working hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience administering and configuring Atlassian Cloud and Data Center tools (Jira, Confluence, JSM, Jira Align).
- Solid understanding of Atlassian Cloud administration, user provisioning (Atlassian Access/Okta), and site management.
- Working knowledge of Linux systems and basic server administration.
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100 Jira Administrator, ACP-120 Jira Cloud Administrator, ACP-200 Confluence Administrator) are a strong plus.
