As Analyst Programmer, you'll be part of the team enhancing and supporting the backbone of the Fisher Scientific channel business. The channel supports science with over 2 million products and extensive support services for scientific research, healthcare, and science education markets.
Job Responsibilities
- Support current business applications within the entire ERP platform and functionality including IBS Enterprise ERP, EDI, WMS, and Integrations.
- Develop and maintain software documentation (code, operation instructions, and related applications).
- Review system capabilities, workflows, and scheduling to identify possible program changes.
- Study existing processing systems and develop new systems to improve production or workflows.
- Implement or modify procedures to resolve business issues and correct system errors.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in analysis and programming in RPG for IBM iSeries and working with relational databases.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in RPG (all versions), SQL, control language, DDS, and query techniques
- Experience with IBS Integrator, Transform, RXS; Python is a plus
- Effective communication skills in English
