Job Description

Summary

The Specialist, Asset Management and Technology position is a 1-year contract role, responsible for performing operational tasks and preparing/processing assets for Ondemand and digital media streaming services across the Asia-Pacific regions. This role requires a strong understanding of technical quality control to effectively support inquiries related to operational or technical issues from both internal and external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage communication with content providers, including operational, email-based, and technical discussions.
  • Onboard new vendors/titles, set up system access, and organize training on Disney systems.
  • Assist in workflow analysis, process mapping, and implementation of improvements.
  • Support data analysis and generate statistical reports.
  • Manage logistics and ensure timely delivery of materials for publishing and/or distribution.
  • Review and approve the quality of incoming and processed media files, including subtitle and dubbing materials, prior to publishing and/or distribution.
  • Capture and record technical data related to assets (e.g., timecode, QC results, media specifications) and maintain data accuracy across all operational systems, including content management platforms for linear and nonlinear services and media processing systems.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality completion of tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Track operational issues, conduct investigations, and contribute to problem resolution.
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are maintained, updated, and adhered to.
  • Assist the supervisor in managing job orders, organizing facility and resource planning, and communicating with internal teams and external partners.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Video Production, Media Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in the broadcast or media industry.
  • Proficient in video/audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools).
  • Native Korean speaker with business-level proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of production and post-production workflows, including UHD, HDR, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos technologies.
  • Knowledge of OTT platform requirements is an added advantage.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive work attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to diverse assignments.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure.
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate other markets.
