About The Role & Team
The Rights Specialist for the AI Project will manage key legal and compliance aspects related to content usage. This role involves thorough review and analysis of production contracts to ensure full editing rights are secured for all programs. The specialist will also examine location and personal releases, talent agreements, and other related documents to identify any material restrictions, effectively communicating these to studios to guide their editing decisions.

This role involves thorough review and analysis of production contracts to ensure full editing rights are secured for all programs. The specialist will also examine location and personal releases, talent agreements, and other related documents to identify any material restrictions, effectively communicating these to studios to guide their editing decisions. In addition, the specialist will review Edit Decision Lists (EDLs) for each AI-generated version of content to confirm no restricted materials appear in the final cuts. Accurate documentation of all project work is essential, supporting future reporting and audit needs. When time permits, the rights specialist will provide additional support to studios or the rights team as required. This role requires strong attention to detail, legal insight, and clear communication skills to ensure content rights compliance throughout the production process.

Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Compensation
The hiring range for this position in the Greater Los Angeles area is $65,300 to $87,500 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
