Disneyland Legal JD Intern, Summer 2026 at The Walt Disney Company

The Walt Disney Company's Corporate Legal Department at Disneyland Resort is seeking a JD Intern for Summer 2026. This role is designed to support the legal team which manages legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for the Resort's two theme parks and three hotels. This full-time internship runs from June through August 2026.

What You Will Do

This internship offers a fast-paced, hands-on experience covering both legal and operational aspects of the Disneyland Resort. You will gain valuable insight into how legal, risk, and environmental/regulatory considerations intersect within a large, complex organization like The Walt Disney Company.

  • Draft legal agreements and documentation.
  • Collaborate with claims and risk management teams.
  • Learn about regulatory compliance processes specific to hospitality and entertainment.
  • Attend crucial meetings with legal and business stakeholders.
  • Shadow experienced attorneys and staff to gain practical legal exposure.
  • Connect with other Legal interns across The Walt Disney Company enterprise.

Required Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in organizational and communication skills, coupled with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.

  • Demonstrated organizational abilities with proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in managing confidential information.
  • Adept at working independently while recognizing appropriate opportunities to seek guidance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with prior relevant experience or specific academic interests will be highly valued.

  • Prior internship or work experience at a law firm.
  • Contracting and drafting experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in entertainment law, copyright, intellectual property (IP), regulatory or administrative law, or relevant contract drafting coursework.

Education & Eligibility

Applicants must meet specific academic and legal eligibility requirements.

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited law school and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Completion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Able to provide own housing in the Anaheim, California area and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship.
  • Able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST, from approximately June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026.
