About the Disney Programs Experience Intern Role

Step into the exciting world of Disney Programs, encompassing the Disney College, Disney Culinary, and International Programs. For over four decades, these programs have been instrumental in shaping college students and new graduates, many of whom have gone on to build successful careers within The Walt Disney Company. The Disney Programs Experience team is dedicated to providing participants with an unforgettable journey. This includes leading immersive learning and career development sessions, offering in-the-moment program support, and creating engaging, informative communications content. From arrival to departure, the Experience team ensures a best-in-class program for every participant.

This is a full-time, six-month internship based in Orlando, Florida, running from June 2026 through January 2027.

What You Will Do as a Disney Programs Experience Intern

As a Disney Programs Experience Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Disney Programs Office across a diverse range of projects and responsibilities. Your primary function will involve serving as the first point of contact for participants seeking assistance, guidance, and resources, making comfort with face-to-face interactions essential. The role also includes a significant administrative component, such as data entry, providing high-volume phone support, and managing email communications through our virtual help desk.

Beyond daily operations, you will have opportunities to contribute to communication and content-creation initiatives, assist with the planning and execution of various events or trips, and support the facilitation of learning offerings. This internship is ideal for individuals who enjoy learning, solving problems, and collaborating within a creative and innovative team environment.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A valid U.S. driver’s license, as operating a company vehicle is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Physical capability to lift 45 pounds, navigate multiple flights of stairs, and stand for extended periods.
  • Exceptional guest service skills, coupled with the ability to problem-solve and resolve conflicts independently.
  • High level of detail-orientation with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Successful completion of a Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program, or Disney Internship.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion and professionalism.

Valuable additional experience includes:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing effective counseling, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Experience as a Residence Life staff member or Resident Assistant in a collegiate environment, collaborating with a diverse student population.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software.
  • Fluency in an additional written and spoken language.
  • Experience leading presentations and public speaking.

Education & Eligibility Requirements

  • Junior or Senior year preferred, pursuing a degree in any field of study.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Program Information

  • Approximate dates: June 2026 through January 2027.
  • Availability: Fully available Monday - Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM Eastern Time Zone, with potential weekends or shifts outside these hours, 40 hours per week.
  • Housing & Transportation: Interns must provide their own housing and reliable transportation in the Orlando, Florida area. Limited housing opportunities are available through American Campus Communities.
  • Appearance: Adherence to The Disney Look appearance guidelines is required.
  • Compensation: The pay rate for this internship in Orlando, Florida, is $22.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided.
