The Role
This Content Ecosystem Manager will support and manage the newly formed Content Ecosystem Management workflow. This initiative coordinates communication between cross-functional groups within The Walt Disney Company to increase efficiencies and avoid potential business risks. Additionally, this role maintains the product setup function of the Rights Management team by being responsible for content added or removed from Rightsline and other supported systems.
Responsibilities
Content Ecosystem Management:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the Content Ecosystem Management function of the Rights Management team.
- Lead quarterly meetings between different departments across TWDC including Brand, Franchise, Accounting, Participations, Rights Management, Systems & Process Management, Disney+, and Deal Planning & Analysis.
- Communicate effectively to a wide range of content shareholders from Coordinators to Senior Executives to explain rationale in content setup.
- Understand the interconnectivity of TWDC systems to provide insight on the impact of solutions on all aspects of the content ecosystem.
- Maintain a centralized Moratorium list for the purposes of tracking restricted titles, confirming title availability, and coordinating with Standards & Practices, Brand, and Franchise.
- Create and maintain a “Master Tracker” to effectively monitor and provide updates on content changes.
Rights Management Product Setup
- Add products to Rightsline for TWDC, National Geographic, and ESPN.
- Field product setup-related questions from Content Sales, Rights Management, Disney+, Enterprise Metadata Services, Accounting, Participations, and others.
- Regularly maintain metadata in Rightsline including episode count, episode orders, new product additions and deletions, and general systems maintenance.
- Serve as initial point of contact for any special setup requests that are required for Disney+ or other business partners.
- Provide training and support to other team members or outside groups on the product setup process.
Features Rights Clearance
- Update Rightsline for Feature products on an ad-hoc basis.
- Review rights entry for setup requests to determine proper setup.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience planning, executing, monitoring, and completing projects as a Project Manager.
- Comfortable working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Advanced understanding of how content flows from inception to completion.
- Comfortable leading meetings with a large number of attendees.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and queries at any given time across multiple functional disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and display professionalism and confidence in challenging situations.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and techniques.
- Proven experience utilizing problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
